Teddy’s just so cute!

Photo: Teddy, the cutest AiredaleThis picture of Teddy is bound to drive my mother wild with excitement. She just loves Airedales. And Teddy is such a cute Airedale, don’t you think? All those gorgeous curls!

Teddy lives in the Geelong area (not far from Melbourne) with his human mum and dad. His mum Judith is the web manager at Deakin University, but Teddy isn’t quite so geeky. He prefers to chill out and look cute rather than sit up at the computer and tap away at the keyboard.

I haven’t met Teddy. I wonder how big he is. I sometimes get a bit scared of big dogs (a nasty one bit me once). But I think Teddy would be gentle and polite. At least I hope so.

Meet Melanie and Merlin

Merlin and Melanie on the beachThis is Melanie (on the left, about to steal the stick) and Merlin. They are two very, very lucky dogs. They get to walk on this great beach every morning. It’s just up the road from where they live, in warm and sunny Townsville.

Merlin is a black labrador and Melanie is a border collie, and they live with their mum Lynn who knows my mum because they’re both interested in web things. A bit like me. Except I don’t think they have their own blogs.

If you’ve got some time, you should go and check out Melanie and Merlin’s photos on Flickr!

Poppy’s secret

Photo: Poppy rushes away from the computer before she is discovered! My friend Poppy has a secret. She’s writing a book. But she doesn’t want anyone to know.

Poppy has been working on her book for about 3 months now. It’s an autofidography. She even has a publisher interested (Pluto Press).

Poppy only gets to work on her book when she stays with her stepdad Chris (my uncle Chris), because her mum doesn’t have a computer for her to write on. She hasn’t even told Chris about it. She wants to surprise him and show him how clever she really is. So when he came home from work early the other night, he nearly caught her writing on the computer. But she quickly closed down her document and pretended to have been sitting on the keyboard to keep warm. He wasn’t at all suspicious.

Poppy spins the wheel!

Photo: Poppy in the parkHey there everyone. You remember my pal Poppy. Well, she’s not really my pal. She isn’t anybody’s pal. Except for Uncle Chris. Poppy loooooooves Uncle Chris. With everyone else, she’s a bit snarly usually.

Anyhow, Uncle Chris brought Poppy a prayer wheel home from Nepal. And he’s taught Poppy how to spin the prayer wheel. Well, that’s what he said. But no one believed him.

But now he’s produced the evidence.

Here’s a little video of Poppy spinning the prayer wheel (195kb, mp4 format).

Watch closely and see if she spins it in the right direction!
