Jamie is a little devil!

Photo: Jamie, the red devilJamie is a very attractive collie dog. When you first meet her, you’d think butter wouldn’t melt in her mouth.

However, Jamie has a wild side. She likes to play dressups. And as you can see in this shot, she has a pretty interesting wardrobe.

This photo was taken at the Royal Melbourne Show. Jamie was a contestant in the pet dog competition day, sponsored by the RSPCA. I don’t know if she won best outfit, but I think she deserves it. Don’t you?

Maisie is ‘mazing!

Photo: Maisie doing tricksHey, check out Maisie! She’s a bully cross, and she’s really cute.

This is a photo my mum took at the Royal Melbourne Show. Maisie was competing in the “Best trickster” event, doing a big rollover to impress the judges. She looks like she really enjoys lying on her back - all four paws in the air. It is a pretty relaxing position. I do it from time to time myself.

My mum was raving about Maisie when she came home from the show. She has a real soft spot for bullies. She used to live with a bully about 20 years ago, but someone stole him one day when she was at work. That made her really sad. She hasn’t had a bully since.

See Comet fly!

Comet flies to catch a ballToday was the last day of the Royal Melbourne Show, and it was doggy day! The RSPCA sponsor a day of pet dog competitions, and dogs of all shapes, sizes, breeds and skills come from far and wide to compete in categories including “Waggliest tail”, “Obedience” and “Best display”.

My friend Poppy was there. My mum even convinced her dadda to enter her in the “Most loveable dog” category. But she snapped at Dr Hugh Wirth’s hand when he patted her, so that pretty much put her out of contention. She did win 3rd in “Best display” (my mum thinks she should have won), and 3rd in the obedience competition, which stunned everyone!

This photo shows the bestest dog of the day - Comet. Well, best in my mum’s opinion. Comet is a cattle dog, and she loves to have fun. She won the “Best trickster” award, and you can see her in action in this photo. Isn’t she cool!

Mum took a few photos at the show, so stay tuned over the next few days for some snaps of some other gorgeous doggies.

I met dozens of new friends on the weekend

Me, dad, Nadine, Chris and Rowena at Taste of the NationOn Saturday, Mum and Dad took me to Taste of the Nation.

It’s a big gathering of dogs and their humans who meet in a really big park. The humans buy lots of food and wine and say it’s for a good cause. All us dogs get to eat lots of yummy scraps and meet new friends.

Mum helped me take lots of photos of all the new friends I met at the park. There’s too many for one page though.

Page 1: includes Dexter, Nugget, Maddy, Scooby, Milly and Lucy.

Page 2: includes Chino, Dino, Eddie, Maxi, Rotti and the free range dog.

Page 3: includes Kali, Fozzie, Dungaree, Molly, and Mr Bean.
