Hello everydoggy,
I just got this email from my cousin Thouzi with lots of family news: none of it good, I’m afraid. Poor Hulky has a sore bottom, and Thouzi is about to have her life of luxury brought to an end–all because vets cost soooo much! (”Not as much as dentists”, mum just yelled.)
Dear Bacchus,
Just got the sad news about Ten. Very sorry to hear he was put to sleep. Mum says our computer is possessed by the devil so we haven’t been on it in a while. Grandma is here with us now she sends her condolences too.
Grandma also told me to tell you cousin Hulk is at the vet as we speak. He’s got a problem with his pooper–it wont work! He has to have something called an ‘enema’ whatever that is? But from what Grandma says its not pleasant. Poor cousin Hulk.
Everything else is going well here, lots of walkies! I had to go to the vet last week too–for my ’shots’ mum called them. I also got some shampoo and flea stuff and worm tablets. Yuk–didn’t like those! Mum told me I’m going to have to go get a job pretty soon coz I cost so much. That trip to the vet cost her $250. Geez thats a damn lot of Good-Os, huh?
Well that’s all for now. Slurps to you and your humans.
Love Cousin Thouzi.

My mum spent most of the day today designing a new website for my dad. But she did still manage to find the time to give me a bath - argh!
There’s a picture of the new website below, but you can also look at the website directly at: http://roger-smith.com. It’s got snails on it. Yum! But there’s not much content yet. My dad doesn’t spend as much time online as me.

My cat brother, Ten, was “put to sleep” last night. At least that’s what mum and dad said. They took him out in a blanket and came home without him. Unless he’s hiding somewhere, but I ran around last night looking for him everywhere and couldn’t find him.
I don’t see why he had to go somewhere else to sleep. He was sleeping nearly all day in a bed beside mum’s desk for the last few days. And she was cuddling him in bed most of the night too. When he wasn’t asleep, he was pretty dopey - trying to hide by standing behind the door or climbing in behind the fridge. It was quite a change from his normal behaviour. He usually chases me around and stands in the doorway so I can’t get out of a room without him swiping at me.
He’s still not back tonight. I was allowed to eat some of his special biscuits instead of stealing them like I usually have to do.
He’s never been away before. Maybe he’s gone to live with Uncle Chris? Mum and dad used to tell Uncle Chris he could have Ten seeing he loved him so much.

Like many dogs, I like a bit of a dance, but my humans don’t seem to understand this. Occasionally my mum puts on some music (usually TISM) and we have a bit of dance, but she really doesn’t understand how much I need this. I’ve got soooo much energy - I really need to dance to get it out.
Anyhow, tonight I was surfing around some of the Melbourne dance scene websites (they won’t let me in the venues, but they can’t keep me off their websites!) and was surprised to find this photo. It’s my Uncle Nev (the curly-haired blonde on the left)! Well, who’d have guessed.
Uncle Nev, if you’re reading this, come over and visit. Mum and dad will cook you dinner, and afterwards, I’ll spin some disks. And we can have a fab time dancing our butts off. Whaddya think?
