Poppy needs to say her prayers

Poppy with the prayer wheelThis is my friend Poppy.
In this photo, Poppy is learning to spin a prayer wheel. Her dad Chris brought it back from Nepal for her because she is sometimes a naughty girl, and so she needs to say lots of prayers. She needs to say so many prayers that she can’t keep up without losing her voice, so this way, when she learns to spin the wheel, she’ll be able to say lots more.

Poppy was even naughty on Christmas day. She started a fight with the other family dogs. At least she didn’t bite anyone.

Well, Poppy, you’d better get spinning! Hey, did your dad buy you prayer flags too? You can just hang them up outside your house and let them flap in the wind. That should help your karma.

Merry Christmas everyone!

Ralph in a santa hatHo ho ho, it’s that time of year again. I hope you’ve all been good and have a stocking full of yummy treats and toys waiting to be ripped open on Christmas day. Don’t go overdoing things by eating too many tidbits all at once!

This is my Flickr friend Ralph, and he’s certainly in the Christmas spirit. Ralph is a gorgeous bull terrier who lives near Mt Fuji in Japan (my mum used to have a bully, so she’s quite fond of them). Apart from playing dress-ups, his favourite hobby is being very cute - he can’t help it. There are lots more photos of Ralph on Flickr that you should check out.

Dylan’s a real dish!

DylanHey everyone, this is Dylan. While his origins are somewhat dubious (he’s believed to have come from a mix of red kelpie and labrador parentage), he sure is a good looker!

Dylan was found roaming the countryside and collected by the district dog control officer before he found a new home in the country with one of my mum’s buddies - Denise.

After many months of costly veterinary “repairs” Dylan is now fighting fit and enjoying the healthy country lifestyle as he goes about his daily routine of rounding up the farm animals (even when Denise would prefer he left them alone) and generally enjoying the “good life”.
