I’m moving house!

Photo: moving houseI’m moving to a new house - a new virtual house that is.

My website has been getting so many hits that mum has decided I need my own web server (it’s some kind of big deal because she said she’s going to have to cut my treat allowance to cover the cost). And she’s decided to register another domain name for me. So from here on in you’ll find me at dogofwhine.com (but dog-of-whine.com will forward to this address too). And the blog has had a minor redesign too.

If you read my blog using an RSS feed, you are cool. But you’ll have to pick up my feed from dogofwhine.com/feed/ from now on.

Oh, and it might be a few days before mum has cleaned up my older posts. Apparently there’s a bit of ‘tweaking’ that need to be done. So if you’re looking at older stuff and it looks a bit strange - don’t worry, it’ll soon be fixed up.

I hope this doesn’t cause anyone too much bother.

Meet Crusha

Photo: CrushaHey everyone, say hello to Crusha!

Crusha is a beautiful 12-year-old whippet who lives and travels with her dad.

My mum met him today while out bushwalking at the Lederderg River. She said he had the softest coat. Very silky. Oh, she meant his natural coat, not the one you can see him wearing in this picture.

Crusha was camping overnight at the river with his dad. What an adventure that must be.

My mum never takes me camping, or bushwalking. But then I do like the comfort of my soft, doona-covered bed.

More birthday dogs!

Photo: Amber and JimmyIt must be doggy birthday season!

I just got an email from Amber and Jimmy’s mum, Sue (more about Sue in a moment), to say that it was Jimmy’s birthday on August 1 (just like Katie), and Amber’s birthday was just a couple of weeks before that.

Sue sent me this picture of Amber and Jimmy. Aren’t they cute? Jimmy just turned 13 and Amber is now 15. But don’t ask me who’s who. I really don’t know. What do you think?

And in case you’re wondering about Sue - my mum met her in Queensland a month ago. Mum was running a writing workshop that Sue came to. She told me that Sue has a very special job. It’s called “information literacy specialist”. Sounds scarey, huh! Like my mum, Amber and Jimmy’s mum works at a university. Lots of doggy mums do apparently. I think that’s cool.

Katie turns one!

Katie and her sister Bonnie celebratingA while ago I introduced you to my new pal Katie. Well guess what, she turned one year old today!

The photo here shows Katie (on the left) with her sister Bonnie. And as you can see, they look like they’ve been having a bit of a party. Katie sent me this email with her picture:

“Hi. Today is my 1st birthday. I am sharing my birthday with my sister. After dad gave me and Bonnie special birthday toast for breakfast, mum, Bonnie and I took dad to work. Bonnie and I have just had kangaroo tail for lunch, and now mum is going to take us to the park for a treat. I am having a wonderful day!”

If you’re having a birthday, send me an email and a photo, and I’ll put it up here on my dogblog.
