And now, here’s Katie
In case you were wondering about Bonnie’s new sister, Katie, here’s the lowdown.
Katie was born on August 1st, 2004 (she’s a Leo like my her adoptive dad, Brian), the daughter of Bindie and Couta, both distant relatives of mine (they’re Jack Russell Terrier crosses). She got adopted after Maxienne (her adoptive mum), saw a photo of her in her work newsletter. She has apparently inherited her mum’s good looks and her dad’s ability to leap off the ground, four paws at a time.
Katie is a regular down at the Edinburgh Gardens in Nth Fitzroy where she is popular with a variety of folks, both the 4 and 2 paw kinds. Her hobbies include playing tug-of-war with Bonnie (they have a special toy for this, though sometimes they practice with shoes and socks and stuff), and playing race horses up and down the passage.
Katie also likes to tease the cats (Albert, Scully and Pepper) and she has taught Bonnie how to bark at them so poor Bonnie is the one who gets into trouble for being naughty. Katie’s apparently taught Bonnie some other bad habits, which I’m told I can’t reveal here for decency’s sake.
Katie’s favourite things are sleeping in Bonnie’s comfy bean bag and licking Bonnie’s bowl after she’s eaten (Bonnie licks Katie’s bowl clean too).
The photo shows Katie’s first visit to Rob the vet. Katie likes Rob the vet. Maybe he doesn’t put one of those barometer things into her bottom when she visits. I think I might switch and go see Rob too.
