Sssssssshhhhhh!
Don’t wake my new friends Gladys and Nike. They’re all snuggled up on their bed by the fire and I’m sure they don’t want to be woken up by you all going “Oh, aren’t they gorgeous” - even though they are.
Gladys and Nike live with Wanda who is another dog person who works with my mum at Monash. There are lots of dog people at Monash. It’s a good place for dogs–there are lots of wide open spaces to run in, and lots of trees to pee on, and lots of stairs to run up and down–so I suppose that’s why all these dog people work there.

I got this email this morning from Cousin Thouzi. It made me really glad that I am a boy.
Dear cousin Bacchus,
Sorry it’s been so long but I just haven`t been myself lately. I’ve been crying a lot and moping around carrying my rubber ducky. Mum thought I just might have been depresssed so she took me lots of walkies and fed me nice treats and played with me alot but that didn’t do the trick so she took me to the vet.
Guess what he said??? My hormones (whatever they are) are way out of control and I’m having a phantom pregnancy. That explains why I’m feeling so lousy mum reckons but I’m still a bit confused.
I’m only 3, aren’t I a bit young to be starting a family? I’ve even been trying to dig up mum’s carpet much to her disgust. The vet reckons I’m trying to make a ‘nest’ for my babies. Dunno about these babies cousin Bacchus. I think I’ll just stick to my ducky.
I’m alot happier today, mum took me out in the car to this paddock where dad was being chased by this big funny looking bird. ‘Model Aircraft’ mum called it. Sounds like a funny name for a bird to me but looked like fun so I started chasing it around and it started chasing me back. Very noisy bird–I don’t think you would like it cousin Bacchus. I chased it around for hours but couldn’t catch it so mum and I went a walkies around the paddock and I saw some sheep and ate some sheep poo. Geez I was glad to get home after such a long day.
Must go it’s time for a dog-nap,
Till next time,
Love cousin Thouzi

Say hello to Rosie. She’s a really cute little baby Staffordshire terrier, or “staffie” and they are affectionately known.
I haven’t had the pleasure of playing with her yet, but mum took this photo today after Rosie came to visit everyone at work.
Rosie’s mum and dad are Kate and Tim (that’s Kate holding her in the photo). They both work with my mum at Monash Uni.
I’ve been to uni with mum, but only on weekends when no one else is there and I can run around the building like a mad thing. I’d probably run around madly when people were there too, but I bump into something–they have really skinny hallways.
