Hey, check out Dogster! It’s the dog equivalent of Friendster, Orkut, Monster and the various other social networking sites that have sprung up in the past year or so.
Dogster is cool. You can set up your own account (see my Dogster page), register all the dogs in your family, and you can look to see if any of your dog friends have registered. If they haven’t you can send them an email and tell them all about it.
Any dogs out there reading this, get on over to Dogster.

This is my new friend Roxy. Not that we’ve actually met each other or anything. My mum met Roxy’s mum at the dentist. Roxy’s mum is the receptionist. My mum seems to be going to the dentist ALL the time! She should eat more bones and that would help her keep her teeth in better shape. I’ve never had to go to the dentist.
In this photo Roxy has a sore leg, but that’s all better now, so you don’t need to worry about her. Roxy lives with another dog called Belka - she’s little, white and fluffy, and a cat called Shurka. So she has plenty of company when her mum goes to work for Dr Exler (he’s the dentist).

Matador - Matty to his friends - is a big black bundle of labradoodle. He wanted to send this message to his mum’s friend Cheryl, so I said I’d pass it on for him:
Just a quick hello to say that I’m doing very well.
I’m very glad you talked my family into having just me. I’m very smart and they are taking quite some training these humans. They call me ‘Matty’ for short because that’s what my coat looks like if they don’t brush me enough.
I’m also pretty big (31.5 kgs) and very fast - when I want those socks there’s no stopping me!
I’ve already got my family trained to let me in each night to watch TV. I have my own kennel and special area.
I’ve been to ‘Sit Happens’ for my puppy school. Erin was terrific.
It was great fun and I learnt that if I sit and stay etc I get treats.
I’ve also been to Canine Basics - it was a breeze. I can walk on a loose lead when I want to, look my family in the eye and get a treat, sit, drop and stay (this last one is really useful while my family drink coffee) etc.
I have a lovely Aunt Janine. She brings me chickens and stock and I don’t even have to do anything. She just hugs me a lot. Very strange these humans. It’s probably because I’m quite cute and adorable really. Whilst I believe I’m very photogenic, these humans have a hard time getting me in the right light to stand out. But I’m helping because I’m already getting grey hairs around my eyes.
Well I’ve got to go now - thanks for the advice. I hope to meet you one day and will be sure to give you the biggest, wettest lick or two.

My brother Ten isn’t himself. He’s not somebody else though. He’s sick. And we don’t know what is wrong with him. He’s been breathing funny with his mouth open and making loud noises.
Mum and Dad took him to the vet this morning (I went along to give him moral support. I had to go to the vet last week, and it wasn’t much fun). They were going to operate on him, but after sedating him they thought his breathing was a bit better.
He’s been lolling around the house all afternoon looking like he’s on drugs. Every now and then he twitches. It’s a bit weird. But it’s good that he’s not picking on me.
