Lucky Delhi Puppy?
My mum has just come home from her holiday in India, and she has brought lots of photos of my cousins from over there and stories about their lives. Over the next few days or weeks, I will share some of these with you.
Unfortunately, most dogs in India don’t have a very good life. This little puppy, photographed near Palika Bazaar in the centre of Delhi, appears to have been claimed by someone, and for the next few weeks or months will probably be fed a few chapatis and some biscuits.
However, it’s current “owner” is a family that lives on the street. They cannot afford to look after their human members very well, so this puppy will not be vaccinated or desexed. And it is likely to be discarded onto the street when it is no longer a cute puppy.
