I’ve just discovered that my little dogblog was a 2003 photobloggie finalist in the Best Pet Photoblog category! And I didn’t even know my site had been nominated.
Thanks to the nice human being who nominated me, and to the judges too.
And if you’ve got some free time, you might want to check out the other finalists in my section:

My mum took this photo of a dog family in Delhi, curled up on the footpath having a sleep. Like dogs everywhere, they like an afternoon nap, only these guys don’t have a warm bed to snuggle up in like I do. Poor pooches!
Don’t be alarmed by the pinkish splotches on the ground–that’s the result of people spitting paan, a mouth cleanser/stimulant containing red betel nut. The pups were fine–well, as fine as could be expected.

This cute little puppy was living near a Jain temple inside the old fortressed city of Chittorgarh, in southern Rajasthan.
Mum says Jains are known for their non violence (ahimsa), charity and belief in karma.
With any luck, if the Jains take care of him, this little puppy might be a lot better off than many of his Indian brothers and sisters.

I turned six yesterday (February 5) and my parents completely forgot my birthday. I woke up expecting presents and even bigger cuddles than usual, but I got nothing. Not even a “happy birthday”.
I think my mum is distracted by her Indian dogs. Maybe I’ll have to turn Indian or start eating curries to get her to take notice of me?
