Dog of Ears!

Mr Jeffries has very big earsCheck out those ears!

Mr Jeffries has just been recognised in the new 2004 Guiness Book of World Records, as the dog with the longest ears–a whopping 29.2 cm (11.5 inches).

Mr Jeffries lives in West Sussex, England, with his dad Phil.

Phil has insured Mr Jeffries ears for 30,000 pounds. Somehow, I don’t think he’s likely to lose them.

Mason has a sore head!

Photo showing Mason's scarMy cousin Mason is in the Royal Children’s Hospital with a very sore head!

He had a four-hour operation on Friday so that the doctors could take out a big brain tumour that was making him have fits.

As you can see from the photo, they made a big cut in his head. It looks a bit like a question mark, don’t you think? The question is, can you count how many stitches Mason has got? I can only count on my toes, and I ran out of toes before I finished counting.

My mum went into see Mason today. She said he looks very well and was able to get out of bed.

I wanted to go to visit too (not just because I like rides in the car), but mum said they won’t let dogs in the hospital. I reckon that’s a bit mean. We like to visit sick people too!

Bad things happen when dogs aren’t on leads

My friend Poppy sent me an email telling me about Vashti, a little dog who went missing about a month ago. Poppy said that Vashti’s mother had made a website all about it, so I went and had a look.

I was not happy with what I found. Vashti got lost at the market because her mother didn’t have her on a lead.

Bad things happen when dogs aren’t on leads. First, I got bitten by a big mean old dog, and now this. Vashti has gone!

If there are any people out there reading this, listen up. Make sure you keep your dog on a lead when he or she is out in public!
