Do you like this photo of Grandma and me? I think it’s a good one.
It was taken earlier this week at Grandma’s house. Mum is still on holidays, and so on Monday she took me in the C-A-R to visit Grandma.
Grandma lives about twice as far away from the city as Cousin Thouzi, so I was very tired when we got there.
Grandma gave me a furry white cat toy to play with. I pretended it was a real cat and ate his nose off. It was such fun!
Aunty Pauline and Cousin Lauren (a human cousin) came to see me at Grandma’s house. It was so exciting. Aunty Pauline played with me by holding the cat high in the air and making me jump up to bite it.
On the way home, we stopped off to visit Cousin Sally. Her human brother, Brad, has just gotten home from a trip to Japan. He had photos and a journal that he’d written, but it all seemed to be about making Japanese people pull funny faces by feeding them Vegemite.

Seems we’re seeing a lot of our cousins lately.
On the weekend, mum and dad went to visit Cousin Alfie (who lives with Tanya and Dave), and they were lucky enough to meet up with Cousin Sally who was visiting all the way from Merrigum (with her mother Sandra, who is also Tanya’s mother–small world, huh!). Yup, she’s another country cousin. Sally, that is. Cousin Alfie is a city slicker.
I didn’t get to go on this trip because I’d been in the car all morning with mum and she thought I’d be too hyped up if I went for another long drive (Cousin Alfie lives on the other side of a city). Instead I went with her to Monash, where she works, and I got to run around all over the place and chase the ducks that live in the pond there.
I hope you like this photo of my cousins. Sally is on the left and Alfie is on the right. Aren’t they cute?

What a day! I’m so tired I can hardly type.
Mum took me for a really looong ride in the C-A-R. We went all the way to Seymour to visit my country cousins, Thouzi and Hulk.
Hulk sorta looks like he’s my cousin. He’s the same colour as me, and the same shape–just a bit shorter. But he certainly didn’t behave like my cousin. He kept trying to hump me. I think he’s swallowed his dad’s supply of Viagra.
And Thouzi, well, she was HUUUUGE!. I couldn’t see any family resemblance at all–not that I got close enough to find out. Mum said she was very sweet (apart from the drool), and as playful as a big puppy. To me, she looked like a Goliath and lunged like one too. Thankfully Aunty Tennielle had a good tight hold on her.
We went for a really interesting walk and saw horses, cows (even a really cute baby one) and a very noisy goose called Honk. My Aunty Kay said that Honk eats bread and protects the cows and horses from wild dogs. I felt quite safe with Thouzi leading the way, though I did get a bit nervous whenever she stopped and looked around at me. She looked like she wanted to eat me, but mum insisted she was just smiling and very happy to meet her cousin from the city.
After our big walk I was very tired, so I sat on mum’s knee. Aunty Tennielle said I was a big sook, and Aunty Kay said I whined too much. Mum said they don’t understand that whining is my job, my specialty. After all, I am the doG of Whine!

I think it’s a conspiracy or something. Everyone my mum meets has an Airedale or knows someone who has.
Now Aunty Deen’s gotten into the act and is sending mum photos of Airedales that her friends live with.
This is Molly. She lives with Phil–and a cat. Every Airedale seems to come with a cat.
Now that’s an idea. I know my mum is keen on getting an Airedale, but she’s definitely not interested in having any more cats. I must start collecting evidence about all the Airedales that come with cats as part of the deal. That’ll put her off…
