A happy dog is a dog who blogs!

It’s finally happened… at long last she’s set up a place where I can do my own thing without having to wait on her to find the time to create new pages and upload my files. “She” is my mum (she’s the cats’ mum too of course–and before you go thinking that I have the apostrophe affliction that most of you seem to suffer from, we have two cats, ok!), and she’s always busy doing things with other people’s web sites, so mine was quite neglected.

We’ve still got a bit of tweaking to do, and we’re going to move some of the content from my old site into the archives here, but basically, I’m up and blogging. Arrff… what fun!

Now, I’m wondering: are there any other dogs out there in cyberspace who blog?

We know about Doglog, but that’s written by dogcow. Funny name seeing he’s neither a dog nor a cow. We found Marlee’s Dog Blog but that’s about her dog, not by her dog. Then there’s My dog wants to be on the radio but that’s not even about a dog, let alone written by one.

We found lots of blogs with the word “dog” in their name. Some were apparently “not fit to be seen by little dogs”–not that I could see coz mum covered my eyes when they came up on screen.

I got really excited when we found Blog Dog but that just had lots of pictures of dogs playing with their computers–admittedly, they were very cute photos. However, it turned out to be run by a Red Ferret, not a dog.

I was just about to give up when we found BlogDogs - not one, but two dogs who blog. And boy, do they blog! Woody and Chigger must be very good typists, and they’re clever too. They write lots about really important things, like humid beans, ticknology and poplar culture. I’m getting tired just thinking about it. Time to head back to bed, but not before adding a permanent link Woody and Chiggers’ blog (well, as permanent as these things are in cyberspace).

Poor Dexter has lost his Daisy

I got this sad email from my friend Dexter from Torquay:

Hi Bacchus

It’s been a while since we said hello, but I have been reading your diary. Very sorry to hear about the dog attack, but glad the damage did not lead to an operation. I can imagine how mad your Mum must have been.

In memory of my feline mate Daisy, go to www.whiskas.com.au and click on feline photos, to see us cuddled up on the couch. Poor Daisy went to heaven a few weeks ago & I do miss her. If you would like to vote for us, please feel free!!!

I was sorry to read that some of your friends are not fond of white standard poodles - I’m just a regular dog & love everyone.

Woof
Dexter

You’ll find the photo of Daisy and Dexter at http://www.whiskas.com.au/photos/group3.asp. They’re in the first photo on the left of the top row.
