No dognapping allowed… apparently
I was trying to have a bit of a dognap on dad’s knee when mum started taking photos of me.
Click, click, flash, flash. Boy it was annoying!

Last time I wrote here I reported that the dogs in our family weren’t having much luck. Now the humans are having a bad time too. Well, one of them, anyway.
My mum’s brother Gary has just had surgery on his neck - for the second time in a week. He’s got rheumatoid arthritis which has caused some damage to the bones in his neck. The doctors said he was lucky he didn’t kill himself: one sharp turn or shake of the head and he would have been history. Just as well he hadn’t been playing with me!
The docs had to wire the bones in his neck to keep them straight, but a few days after doing this, the wiring had come loose and they had to rush him back to surgery to put pins in to fuse the joint. Mum stayed at the hospital with Aunty Sandy till very late. Everyone was very worried about him, but he made it through the surgery just fine. Mum said she wished she’d had a tape recorder with her because although Uncle Gary is normally pretty quiet, he was saying some funny things when he was coming out of the anaesthetic.
