Bad news - I got attacked by a mean dog
I’ve got some bad news. This morning I got attacked by a big mean doberman.
My mum and I were out walking, minding our own business, when suddenly this big dog ran out of a gate towards me. Mum tried to protect me, but he got me and bit down hard on my behind. Mum screamed and screamed and I trembled and couldn’t move. The dog’s owner yelled until the mean old doberman let me go and went back inside the gate. Mum was very upset and yelled at the man, but he denied that his dog had bitten me. Hmph!
Mum and I were both shaking and she had to carry me home because I was too frightened to walk properly.
We made it home safely and then mum saw the blood on my bottom, just above my tail. It was too sore for me to let her look at it, so she took me to the vet. He gave me two needles and told mum to take me home and give me lots of cuddles. We’ve got to go back tomorrow because I might need to have an operation to sew up the tear in my bottom. Until then, I’m gonna have a good lie down.
The vet was worried that the man wasn’t sorry enough and tried to deny that his dog had bitten me. Mum rang the local council to tell them what had happened because she wants to make sure that the mean old doberman doesn’t bite anyone else. The council said they’d send a “local area manager” to go and talk to the man about his dog.
In the meantime, don’t go walking through the carpark behind the Station Road shops in Cheltenham. That mean old dog might still be there.
